We are excited to announce we have begun manufacturing at our newest international facility in Yelabuga, Russia, located in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Russia is the fifth largest foundry market in castings produced and has the second largest primary aluminum production in the world. This continued global expansion has given Allied the opportunity to be one of the first Western refractory companies to begin production there.
Allied’s sales in Russia are building on the strong foundation set by our affiliate in the Netherlands, Allied Mineral Europe, which has been selling product in Russia for 13 years. The new Russian facility will initially serve the Foundry and Aluminum market, while seeking future opportunities in Industrial applications.
“Our success could not have been accomplished without a significant amount of time and effort by many people and departments within Allied,” says John Halsted, Executive VP of International & Affiliated Companies. “We have 18 dedicated employees in Russia and look forward to watching them grow and prosper in the coming years!”
